Spring Festival and Yard Sale

May 2 8am-2pm

If you're like me, it's often hard to let go of things you've had for a long time, even if those things hold little or no sentimental value. But I've recently learned first hand just how refreshing it can be to clear out those extra rooms full of stuff that I never use. Clearing out the clutter in my house goes a long way to clearing out the clutter in my head, and my life in general.

What better way to top off your spring cleaning by getting rid of all of those old items that still might have value to someone by reserving a plot to sell them or by donating those items to the church to sell in our Spring Festival and Community Yard Sale? You never know, someone out there just might be looking that old book you read 10 years ago but never will take out of the bookshelf again, or maybe a college kid could use one of your 20 spatulas (You know, the ones in that "miscellaneous utensil drawer" in the kitchen that's hard to open and shut. Where do all those utensils come from?)

That's not all!  Music, games, crafts, and a moon bounce for kids.  Plus a bake sale, tours of the newly renovated church building and a chance to meet the Fairfax community.  We're also looking for games and activities for families and kids, so if you have a bean-bag toss or non-toxic face paint, or anything else kids like to do, we'd love to include it in the festivities.

Please let us know if you're coming, and also please help us spread the word by passing this on to your friends in the area who might be interested. With your help, we can have a great turnout and get to know the community a little better.

If you're interested in a 10x10' plot for selling household items or if you're a licensed crafts vendor, please email FairfaxChristianChurch@gmail.com with your name, telephone number, and number of plots you need. We just ask a $10 donation for each plot.  By the way, there are no hookups at the plots, so no electricity and no running water. It is the middle of our front yard, after all.

We'll see you there!

Edit: Just confirmed: "AIM Robotics" will be on hand to show off their entry in this year's FIRST Robotics Competition.  AIM Robotics is a local FIRST Robotics team that Fairfax Christian Church helps to sponsor and mentor.  Team members are in middle school and high school.
